Mallorca - Fornalutx 01

Fornalutx could be considered a town of an outstanding architectural and landscape value. The stone entryways, austerity and easiness of its buildings and ornaments, make Fornalutx’s architecture a clear example of the typical Majorcan mountain homes, reflecting a lifestyle of the past. The town could be associated to agriculture since the gardens, the cultures of orange and olives were the engines of the economy until the early 1960s. Artists have come here from all over Europe, intrigued by the beauty of the landscape and the lifestyle of its simple inhabitants. Some of them have even taken permanent residence in Fornalutx.
