Czechia (Česko) travel and climbing photos
Czechia (Česko) is a medium-sized European country that was officially created on 1st January 1993. From 1918 to 1992 (except several years during WWII) it was a part of Czechoslovakia. The Czech Republic (Česká republika) includes Bohemia (Čechy) - the larger western part, and Moravia (Morava) - the eastern part. Water and mountains are the dominant elements that constitute the uniqueness and variety of this country. Bohemia is ringed by low mountain ranges. Sněžka in Krkonoše mountains is the highest point at 5,256 feet (1,602 meters). The chief rivers are the Labe (Elbe) and its main tributaries, the Vltava (Moldau) and the Ohře (Eger). Moravia's dominant geographic feature is the basin of the Morava River. Czechs love to gather together on a glass of beer and there to discuss everything (politics, sport,...). They have a good sense of humor and love to smile. Prague (Praha), the capital city, is one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
